The Peaceful President

Recently, Barack Obama has been announced to be given the Nobel Peace Price of 2009. The committee has awarded this prize to President Obama because "he is being honored for his extraodinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." To be able to view the site of the Nobel Peace Prize organization you can click on "Peace". In addition, to view the site in which they speak about President Obama being announced as the winner of the prize you can click on "prize". The other Presidents who won the Nobel Peace Prize are Theodore Roosevelt (for being a collaborator of various peace treaties), Jimmy Carter for his decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development, and Woodrow Wilson won the prize because"people everywhere saw in his peace aims the vision of a world in which freedom, justice and peace could flourish."
